How the job goes

At the door, we compare the old trim with the new keypad or app-controlled unit, then remove the face plate and outside knob or lever. We fit the smart lock body in place, set the inside assembly, and connect the cable or tailpiece that links both sides. Looking after it

Afterward, keep the keypad face clean and dry, and watch the battery symbol before it turns dim. If the buttons stick, the screen lags, or the lever feels stiff, the inside unit may need attention.
